- Muller's fabled department store in downtown Lake Charles closed its doors in October 1985. The building has sat idle since then. Now, new work is under way.
The building, which was given to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury in 1995, was sold to Roger Landry, a Lake Charles native now living in Atlanta.
